As part of the Vocational Career Days organized by the Faculty of Health Sciences at Istanbul Medeniyet University, the Nutrition and Dietetics Department held its own Vocational Career Days event, which received great interest and participation from students. The event began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem.
The opening speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. F. Esra Güneş, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Head of the Nutrition and Dietetics Department. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of professional development and the benefits of early guidance in career planning.
Throughout the event, many expert dietitians shared their knowledge and experiences with the students. The guest speakers included Specialist Dietitian Tuğba Demirkıran Mataracı, Dietitian Dilara Türkmen, Dietitian Zeynep Kekeç, Specialist Dietitian Gizem Görmüş, Specialist Dietitian Tuba Örnek, Dietitian Büşra Çeteoğlu, and Lecturer Merve Güney Coşkun.
The presentations addressed topics such as clinical dietetics, working as a managerial dietitian in mass catering systems, employment in corporate companies, international experiences, and current job opportunities in the field of nutrition and dietetics. Students had the opportunity to gain detailed insights into various professional fields within the discipline.
This fruitful event, which contributed to the development of the students' professional vision, concluded after all the speeches were completed.
