Nutrition Sciences Master's Program (Thesis)

The Nutrition Sciences Department is a branch of science that studies the types, amounts, properties of nutrients, their roles in biochemical and physiological processes, the composition of nutrients, physical and chemical properties, the effects of processes applied to nutrients from production to consumption, and also the components that contaminate food in various ways and cause food pollution. The department aims to produce advanced knowledge, conduct research and applications necessary for the protection of individual and community health throughout life, and to provide an academic perspective within this framework.

Dietetics Master's Program (Thesis)

The Dietetics Department is a field that organizes medical nutrition treatments for individuals. This field provides the necessary information for the nutritional treatment required for the protection of health and treatment of diseases and for the patient to gain this treatment. The field of dietetics includes general information about diseases for all age groups, metabolic and biochemical changes that occur during diseases, laboratory and clinical findings of diseases, necessary nutritional treatment, educational principles for nutritional treatment and behavioral change treatment. The Department of Dietetics generally includes nutrition and dietetic applications in adult diseases and nutrition and dietetic applications in pediatric diseases. Therefore, it is of great importance to train nutrition and diet experts in the Department of Dietetics who are strong in scientific research, who will plan and implement individual-specific medical nutrition treatments in the treatment of diseases, who will educate patients discharged from the hospital and coming to the polyclinic about the diet they need to apply at home, who will take part in solving the nutritional problems of the society and individuals living in the society, and who will plan and direct nutritional education.
