The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics aims to educate dietitians who adopt scientific, ethical, and evidence-based approaches to improving individual and public health; who can take an active role in the healthcare system; who are competent in clinical, community, and institutional nutrition; who embrace lifelong learning; and who possess the professional qualifications to work in the public sector, private sector, and academia.
The Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) are listed below:
PEO 1: To train dietitians who ensure adequate and balanced nutrition for the population in order to protect, improve, and promote public health and enhance quality of life throughout the lifespan.
PEO 2: To train dietitians who follow developments in the field.
PEO 3: To train dietitians who uphold scientific and ethical values.
PEO 4: To train dietitians who can effectively use communication skills.
