The Department of Nutrition Sciences is a science that examines the types, quantities, properties, roles of nutrients in biochemical and physiological processes, the composition of foods, physical and chemical properties, the effects of the processes applied to foodstuffs from production to consumption, as well as the components causing nutrient contamination by various means. . The department aims to produce advanced level of knowledge, research and practice necessary for the protection of individual and community health throughout the life and to provide academic perspective in this context.

Division of Dietetics
Changes in the form of normal nutrition to reduce nutritional and metabolic disorders caused by various diseases that can be seen in every age group starting from infancy, to prevent progression and to help healing are called D Diet Therapy ". Diet: should be adjusted according to the age, sex, body structure, nutritional habits, physical activity, socio-economic conditions of the individual and using appropriate food preparation and cooking methods. Most of the chronic, endocrine, metabolic and malabsorption diseases, which are diagnosed and treated in childhood or later, can be corrected with medication and sometimes even with lifelong diet. For these reasons, dietetic science has a great importance in the fast and effective treatment of both children and adult patients and lead a healthy life. In this direction, technological developments for the production of dietary products for diseases should be continued. These developments will give priority to the production of dietetic products in our country will prevent dependence on abroad.
Division of Institutional Food Service Systems
In order to provide quality and reliable collective nutrition services in our country within the framework of international standards; To contribute to the training of high-quality Executive Dietitians with universal thinking and values, respectful to country and world culture, equipped in the field of collective nutrition, and to provide education, training, research and consultancy services in the field of TB.
Division of Community Nutrition
It is of great importance to preserve the health of all individuals throughout life, to improve the quality of life, and to adopt the habit of healthy living (healthy eating and physical activity habits). Health problems due to insufficient nutrition and chronic diseases are observed in different cultural and social structures. In order to achieve this goal, determining the nutritional status of the society and determining and evaluating the problems, determining the priorities, seeking solutions for the improvement of the general nutritional level of the country, suggesting, implementing and raising the awareness of the society, determining the national food and nutrition plans and policies are of great importance. People have the right to buy and consume foods that will develop the habit of reliable, affordable, quality healthy eating. Food and nutritional and health concepts should be taken together and science and technology strategies should be taken together in order to provide food security and safety, prevention of diseases, protection and development of health, protection of environment and socio-economic development.
